I am not alone! It has definitely become an exercise in forgiveness of failing — but it's a good avenue to learn that skill, the stakes being relatively low. Albert looks lovely. To a long life for him! Also, I'm now thinking I should name my plants!

I find so much to relate with here. My grandfather owned a small chain of garden stores, and my parents have beautiful, flourishing gardens and lovely house plants. I, however, kill every plant that ever comes into my home.

The sansevieria is a personal favorite of mine (I call it a snake plant, my dad calls it a mother-in-law's tongue). I got a tiny one last September, as a gauge of my responsibility. I call him Albert, and this is him as a baby:

He's doing well these days, but he always lives on the brink of being killed by my forgetfulness. Thanks for sharing this post, and for the short lesson in being mindful and resilient—it's a lesson that I need every single day.

Yes! Let's do something! Maybe when you're done with school? I would totally be up for a 30 days art challenge.

Lady! I love this. And what a fantastic and creative and thoughtful gift you guys made. If you couldn't tell, I was touched. And overwhelmed.

I have similar goals (and struggles) when it comes to creating regularly, especially painting (and especially watercolors, eep!). One of my goals this year is to do a painting a day for 30 days. I love the final square you made, and I'd love to be an art partner with you sometime!

Hugs.

It really is quite magical! I'd love it if some areas of the Monon had bird feeder sculptures, cultivated gardens and a few of those wooden loungers.

"I got lost in it all, even when I knew just exactly where I was."

Such a perfect way to describe the High Line experience, one of my favorite things to do when in NYC.

I have run and biked every inch of the monon from 146th south - many times.
It goes further north and is planned to go much more so, which is nice. It will go through much more rural areas, which is a great mix to balance the urban parts

Thank you! I've done 49th up to 169th once. I've been meaning to circle the whole things for a while. Now that I've blogged it, I have to do it!
