I've already got a better track record than last year at least! A friend alerted me to the McGurk Effect. It's got me thinking much about how the senses interact and how I perceive them. Even if I can see from a distance that I've locked the door, I have a habit of touching the lock to check that it's latched. Maybe I've gone too far in not trusting what I see? So far so good.
